New England’s Largest and Oldest Boat Show Docks February 9-17 in Boston

Now in its 64th year, the region’s most iconic, highly anticipated marine expo, the 2019 Progressive Insurance New England Boat Show once again makes port at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, February 9-17, dazzling marine enthusiasts of all stripes with more than 800 new boats and everything nautical you need to get shipshape in time for summer.

Activities & Education for Boating Enthusiasts

 

  • Climb Aboard: More than 800 of the latest boat models under one roof for attendees to browse, board and buy for every lifestyle and budget ranging from luxury cruisers and sportfishers to center consoles and pontoon boats, plus marine accessories and much more.  Don’t miss the Queen of the Show – the largest and most glamourous boat on the show floor!
  • Dozens of boating seminars: With a special emphasis on fishing tips in addition to advice on sailing and boating topics featuring popular interactive casting tanks by New England ‘s premier saltwater fishing outfitters, Goose Hummock.
 

PLUS Career Opportunities

 

  • Expanded Boating Career Day: On Friday, February 15th, the Show will host its second annual Career Day inviting hundreds of students from local maritime and technical schools to hear from industry peers about opportunities in the marine industry. NEW this year, the Show will also host a career fair following the student presentations for the general public looking for a career in the marine industry. More details to be announced in the next month.
 

And Even Fun for the Entire Family

 

  • Hop on “Salt”, the Life-Size Whale: Learn about safe boating near whales on a 40’ life-size inflatable Humpback whale named “Salt”.
  • Progressive Insurance Boat Club: Boost your boating IQ with top-notch mariners from the Annapolis School of Seamanship who will be on deck to teach an entertaining curriculum of hands-on boating “courses.” 
  • Create-a-Boat:Kids Toy Boat Building - If they can imagine it, they can build it! Little skippers will have boatloads of fun creating one-of-a kind nautical masterpieces to take home as a show souvenir.  Plus, Kids Paddle Pools and Touch-A-Boat captivate young mariners while offering seafaring learning opportunities.

Tickets: $16 for adults; FREE for children 12 and under (when accompanied by an adult)
