PROGRESSIVE NEW ENGLAND BOAT SHOW PRESENTED BY WEST MARINE HOLDS FIRST-EVER BOATING CAREER FAIR FOLLOWING CAREER DAY FORUM FOR OVER 100 LOCAL STUDENTS

Friday, February 15 Boat Show Offers FREE Admission to Job Seekers

WHAT:           As the recreational boating industry continues its 8-year growth track, with sales in Massachusetts matching the national trend with 8 years of consecutive growth and up another four percent through June 2018, boating industry careers from sales to marina operations and technicians abound. 
 
                      To meet the needs of this growing industry and its abundant opportunities, the Progressive Insurance New England Boat Show has partnered with the Massachusetts Marine Trades Association to offer the FIRST-EVER public career day for job seekers to connect with boating businesses looking to fill open positions.
 
                      Boating Career Day will begin with more than 100 students from schools across Massachusetts and New England, including Nantucket High School, Cape Cod Regional Tech, The Landing School from Arundel, ME, and Madison Park from Boston to listen to industry leaders in different roles.
 
WHO:            Show Manager, Bob McAlpine, and Randall Lyons, executive director of the MA Marine Trades Association, along with industry experts and students from regional high schools.
                       
                        Students will enjoy presentations from panel speakers, including:
